Our Story

Pivot Innovation was founded to bring people together, support new ideas, and help turn visions into reality through education and technology.

Based in Frankton, Queenstown, Pivot Innovation is both a consultancy and an innovation hub. We work with product developers, regional businesses, and education providers across the Queenstown-Lakes Region to turn ideas into physical outcomes.  From prototyping and manufacturing to content creation and training.

Our public-facing space, The Workshop, offers flexible co-working spaces, a content creation studio, a prototyping lab, and our Online Learn Lab education platform (coming soon!).

Together, these efforts serve one unified goal: building a connected, creative and future-ready community in the Queenstown Lakes region.

Our Values

The What...

"Great ideas and products deserve expert execution."

At Pivot, we believe that great ideas and products deserve expert execution. We founded Pivot to provide businesses and individuals with the expertise, tools, and resources they need to bring their products and ideas to life. Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a growing business, or an individual with a vision, our focus is on delivering high-end product development, bespoke solutions, and consulting, particularly in additive manufacturing. From prototyping and scaling production to solving complex challenges, Pivot was built to turn innovation into reality.

We saw a need for a collaborative community space where, startup businesses, innovators, hobbyists, and entrepreneurs could bring their ideas to life in a hands-on environment. The Workshop was created to fill this gap—a space for innovative developments inspired by and deeply connected to place, fostering creativity and collaboration that reflects the unique opportunities and lifestyle of the Queenstown Lakes District.

The Why...

"a space for innovative developments inspired by and deeply connected to place."

The Workshop

"committed to creating opportunities, fostering education, and supporting innovation in the local community"

The Workshop builds on Pivot's founding principles as a social enterprise, committed to creating opportunities, fostering education, and supporting innovation in the local community. By focusing on collaborative outdoor product development, we aim to help people turn their ideas into reality while giving back to the region we call home.
